The British Have Launched Hydrogen Pump For Home

British company ITM Power has developed a hydrogen power system which could be used by cars that use this type of fuel. The pump can be installed at home making this useful and easy to use. Lack of power stations was the only obstacle in the spread of hydrogen cars, in the conditions in which auto manufacturers like Honda have already started to build in series such cars.
Hydrogen pump works on the basis of electrolysis, producing gas from water using electricity. Also, an internal generator transform the gas in electricity, to provide energy for the house.
ITM Power Company has placed such a pump into a house from Sheffield, where it is used for heating and cooking. Specialists are sceptical regarding the costs that involve such a pump and their efficiency.
“The critic question in this regard is how will cost to put such a pump in your house. Technology is extremely plausible , but I think it will meet problems of acceptance from the public,” said David Hart, a specialist at Imperial College Research from London.
ITM has launched with the pump and a car brand Ford Focus changed to be able to operate with hydrogen.
