General Motors Build The Biggest Solar Central

General Motors will build the biggest solar panels roof from Europe , says “Financial Times” in an article quoted by the Agency France Presse. Solar Center will be located on the largest factory held in Europe by the American automobile manufacturer.

General Motors factory from Zaragoza, northern Spain, will be covered with solar panels on an area of 183,000 square meters. According to the quoted source the amount of investment necessary for the development of this project amounts to 50 million euros (78.5 million U.S. dollars).

According to the objective announced by representatives of General Motors, solar panels will at least a quarter of the energy consumption of the factory from Spain. To develop this , the automotive manufacturer has signed a collaboration with Veolia Environment from France.

Regarding future projects of the U.S. company, it intends to develop a similar project for the manufacture of St. Petersburg. Also, General Motors is considering 19 other central solar to be carried out in various locations from Europe.
