Finnish will Build the Fisker Karma Hybrid07.17.08


Fisker Automotive announced that Valmet, Finland auto manufacturer, will build the model Karma Saloon hybrid, informs Motor Authority. Known for the manufacture of high quality cars such as Porsche Boxster or Cayman and with an experience of over 40 years in the field, Valmet will ensure that the new Karma to meet the necessary requirement in the luxury class.

The first Fisker Karma models will get out from the Finnish factory in the fourth quarter of 2009. Will be built 15,000 models in the first 12 months. Half of them will be sold in the United States (U.S.), and the rest will be destined for Europe.

Henrik Fisker, president of the Board Fisker Automotive, announced that intends to manufacture the new eco model in a location from America.

The price of a Fisker Karma will be approximately 80,000 dollars in the U.S. and slightly more in Europe. If the model will be successful, Fiker representatives hopes to develop another model which cost half as Karma.
