Porsche Launch The Hybrid Limo Panamera
06.30.08
Panamera, limo from Porsche, is the second German model, which will have under the hood a diesel propellant and a hybrid group. The car will arrive in the showrooms in 2010. The decision to switch on diesel is included in the global trend to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2).
Panamera will borrow the hybrid propellant from Volkswagen. Porsche holds little more than 30 percent of Volkswagen Group. The limo with form of coupe will have a diesel engine coupled with electric one able to generate 110 horse power.
Without Volkswagen, Porsche would have faced with penalties worth 400 million euros per year for CO2 emissions.
In February, the Porsche representatives announced that they will balk to the daily duty from London on polluting cars. They claimed that the possible fee of 48.74 dollars per day is unfair and would not reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
