Eco House From a Boeing 747 Removed From Use

06.30.08

The architect David Hertz from Architecture Studio for Environment has found a eco-employment for a Boeing 747 from a fleet of disused planes. He will make from the giant trash a green house for Francie Rehwald who wants a house from plane recycled pieces.

Long segments almost 40 meters from the former plane of 40,000 dollars have already been transported to the location of Malibu with a helicopter which cost 10,000 dollars per hour.

When it’s done, the building will include a house across 400 square meters and several other buildings, including a guests house or a barn. Also, the architect will build an art studio from a fuselage piece and a part of the wing aircraft will be used as a platform to admire the outlook for the visitors. Aircraft wings will represent the roof for the entire location which will be one of the most spectacular eco-house from the entire world.

The proprietress desire, which is so environmental is to use all parts of the plane. “I love to recycle, i love green houses and contemporary architecture but in particular i love the nature and the environment,” said Francie Rehwald.
